Pastor Cliff Wilson comes from the foothills of NC. He grew up in Marion, NC & was raised in the Nix Creek FWB Church, saved at the age of 11 during a service his grandpa, Rev. Arnold Wilson, was preaching. That night changed his life forever! Cliff found himself serving in the church, singing in the choir, participating in activities, & just enjoying church like never before. At the age of 17 he began working as janitor of the church & teaching the beginner Sunday school class during his senior year of high school.
He met his wife Barbie (high school sweetheart),who was also attending a local FWB Church in Marion. Together they worked to sharpen each other in the Lord serving in positions of the Children’s Department of their respective churches. Later they transitioned to work with teen & junior youth groups, directing Vacation Bible Schools, & teaching Sunday school.
The couple dated by going to each other’s churches on alternating Sunday evenings then in 1989 were married. For a long while their anniversary was spent organizing, participating, directing or just attending youth camps with their youth groups. Cliff preached at youth functions & youth camps where many souls were saved & baptized.

Cliff was mentored by Rev. Carl Miller at Homer’s Chapel FWB Church in Black Mountain, NC. During the 1½ years under Rev. Miller's leadership, he was licensed & became the Associate Pastor in 2005. During his apprenticeship he learned about how to care for a church & move it towards growth. But also Pastor Carl encouraged Cliff to reach for higher learning in doctrine & faith & so on March 17, 2006 was ordained into the gospel ministry in the Blue Ridge Association of NCFWB.

During his pastorates, Pastor Cliff has provided spiritual support in the communities he has served in many ways: Head Chaplain for hospice, ministered to families during crisis of their lives, served on the board of directors for 2 non-profit organizations working with other pastors/leaders to help the communities with financial needs & also working with an established food bank to help grow it in the community to serve over 60+ families per day.
After seeking God's purpose for his ministry Pastor Cliff is now serving at the Landmark Baptist Church of Burlington, NC.
